  1. Make ready 12 skinless, bone-in chicken thighs
  2. Get 4 Tbs butter
  3. Prepare 1/4 cup cooking oil
  4. Prepare 3 cup chopped onion
  5. Get 3 Tbs mild paprika
  6. Take to taste salt and pepper
  7. Prepare 2 bay leaves
  8. Take 3 cups chicken broth
  9. Get 3 Tbs flour

  1. Melt butter and cooking oil in a large roasting pan over two burners. Cook chicken for 5 minutes on each side, until it starts to brown. Add onions and sauté for 5 more minutes. Add paprika, salt, pepper, bay leaves and chicken broth. (If you can't fit the chicken all in one pan you may have to cook it in batches then add all the chicken back in when everything else is cooked.)

  3. In a separate bowl, mix flour and 1 cup of sour cream. Slowly ladle one cup of boiling chicken liquid to temper the sour cream. Add mixture to the chicken. Add remaining sour cream. Heat on low for 10 more minutes, but don’t let boil.
