- Take 500 gm boneless chicken
- Make ready 2 medium size sliced onions
- Take 2 tbsp ginger paste
- Take 2 tbsp garlic paste
- Take 1/2 cup curd
- Prepare 1 1/2 tbsp green chilli paste
- Prepare 7-8 pieces whole black pepper
- Make ready 1 tsp kasuri methi crushed

Instructions to make Dahi and black pepper chicken:
- Wash chicken properly and add 1/2 cup curd, 1tbsp ginger paste,1tbsp garlic paste, 1/2 tbsp green chilli paste, salt 1tsp. Coat chicken with all ingredients and marinate for 1 hr.
- After 1hr heat kadai and add 1cup of refine oil. Then add whole garam masala, bay leaf and black pepper seeds. Now add sliced onions and saute for few minutes.
- After onions become slightly brown now add marinated chicken and stir for 7- 8 minutes. Now add 1 tbsp ginger, 1 tbsp garlic paste, 1 tbsp green chilli paste, 1 tbsp Salt, 1 tbsp sugar and cook it for 10 minutes.
- Now add 1 tbsp coriander powder and 1tsp kashmiri mirchi powder. Again stir it well now add required water and cover kadai with lid and cook until chicken becomes tender.
- When gravy becomes thick now in a tadka pan add 2 tbsp desi ghee and into the ghee add crushed black pepper and crushed kasuri methi. Atlast add the tadka into the chicken then stir it well and cover with lid for 15 mins as standing time.
- Serve with polao and nun/ paratha.
